Korea Palace, this has always been in my visit list after several floggers recommended this place for their Korean Barbecue. This place is not hard to be located. Follow the road from Gurney to Tanjong Tokong, drive along Jalan Tanjong Tokong and you will surely spot this restaurant on your left.
The restaurant is located on the first floor of the commercial building.
Like many other Korean restaurants, there will be a bottle of Korean Green Tea on the table. The taste of the green tea is like a mixture of tea + coffee. Of course it’s neither like our Chinese “yun yong (coffee + tea)” nor the Japanese green tea that we used to have...
Last night dinner was at the new and spacious Korean Palace BBQ Restaurant in Jalan Tanjung Tokong. Located on the 1st floor of Wisma Bayu, it was opened in late April 2008. This was the first time we step into this restaurant.
At the entrance of the lift, was a poster featuring some of their dishes. The lift leads directly to the entrance of this brightly lighted restaurant. Browsing through the menu, we found many choices of soups, noodles, rice, stews and the popular barbeque meat charcoal grilled at the table. One part of the menu is only available for lunch...
Came here last weekend. It is our second time eating Korean BBQ food. Korea Palace is located along Jalan Tanjung Tokong. Restaurant was rather big and spacious inside which could accommodate a lot of people. They even have private rooms for those who would like to have a private party.
Since we were not familiar with what to order, we decided to let the waiter recommend to us. So this is what we had. Total bill cost was RM 187.
Each table had its own BBQ area and they use charcoal to BBQ the food. First the guy would come with a long thong and place the burning charcoal in the pit. Then it is covered by the grill...
Apart of having my beloved Green Tea Frappucino, I had also Korean food that day.

I like, despite of the genuine korean foods (the owner is a Korean), we didn't have to bbq the foods ourselves because the waitress would do that for us. All we needed to do was ordering, sitting there eating and watching the waitress bbq-ed for us. And, oh... need NOT to worry about the smell of bbq after dining...
What an ideal location for a restaurant. Driving past Tanjung Tokong Road, you can see diners enjoying a meal there through its large windows. Seems like a lot of people is eating there, so I thought I would go there myselfWell, coz it is situated in an new building, its kind of creepy getting there. The lift is still board up and dirty. So I would recommend to take the stairs instead.
Anyway, it is on Level 1, so it is OK to take the stairsThe decor is nice especially the tatami seating and a large private room that can seat 6-30 people. It's a large room which can be divided accordingly. Each seating has a BBQ pit which gets filled with hot charcoal if you order a BBQ set...
