I never notice there is a restaurant located at the same row of Hong Kong Video in Queensbay Mall, until I walked pass it last month. I told my friend I want to give it a try one day since the food they offered looks not bad from the menu. A week later, I headed to Queensbay Mall to have lunch in Japin Restaurant.
Japin Restaurant, is a Japanese and Chinese restaurant. The main course is all the Japanese food while the dessert, is the Chinese dessert I should say. If you don’t see the name from the name card, you will think that it is called Jopin Restaurant. This is because the logo...
As usual, we had hard time to decide on what to eat. Since we were in Queensbay Mall and I just been brought to this restaurant by my colleague 2 days before, I had suggest to eat at this restaurant - Japin.
The ambience of the restaurant is good, nice setting, comfortable seat and nicely arranged stuff on the table.
While waiting for the menu, as nothing to do, my wife grabbed over the camera and give me a shot...
One Friday evening, we dropped by Queensbay Mall after work. We were wondering what to eat. Finally we gave Japin a try when we passed by. It's located at the 2F-147 unit in the North zone. My colleague recommend this restaurant to me when I asked her where she used to dine in. She recommended one of us order the set meal, and the other one to order the ramen. So, I just follow her recommendation right away. :P
My dear ordered the Butayaki set. It's the BBQ pork set that served with white rice, miso soup, and side dishes like mashed potato and salad in thousand island sauce...
Let us see, how many Japanese Restaurants do we have at Queesnbay Mall? Sushi King, Sakae Sushi, Nippon Yataimura, Japin, Shimaya Teppanyaki. Now another has popped up inside Queensbay Mall and just located above the Borders Bookstore, Azuma Japanese Restaurant is the name. The latest addition of Japanese Restaurant is probably an indication that Penang has lots of Japanese food lovers residing here.
Azuma Japanese Restaurant recently opened its door to Penang customers as its 5th outlet. Azuma at presence has 3 outlets in Sabah and one in Kuala Lumpur...
Penang have so many Japanese restaurants, giving us ample choices where to go hunt for yummy Japanese cuisine.
Japin Restaurant have been established in Penang for quite a long time with their 1st branch in Island Plaza. Maybe the location is not so well-known, so they didn’t really grow to be a famous dining outlet. Finally when Queensbay Mall opened, they made their way into the mall and open another branch on the 2nd floor to cater for Penang southerners. (My earlier post on Japin)
They now spot a new menu and I don’t think ‘tong sui’ is served anymore...
