Yesterday afternoon, we went down town to collect some documents. After we have done with our things, we drop by Gurney to buy something. And when we passed by Jurin eXpress, hubby told me to stop as he want to have a look. lol Actually in the past few weeks when Jurin eXpress is under renovation, he already told me that he wants to try it when they opened. lol Actually we dine in Jurin few years back when they got an outlet @ Krystal point but back then we did not do any food blog yet. lol
This is the main reasons after hubby saw this big advertisement make him want to dine in there yesterday. That's why I have to do this review today...
This was my second visit to Jurin Express at Gurney Plaza. It’s not my idea to go to this restaurant but it’s my brother’s. He said he had never been there before so he want to give it a try, but then I’ve already tried it before. Anyway, since dad had never been there too and my mom said nothing about it, we went there for lunch.
Brother wanted to eat Sashimi and so, we ordered a 5 pieces Salmon Sashimi. It’s almost RM30 for 5 pieces and could be say as expensive. Wondering is it the market for such dish? Though, the salmon were really fresh and you can feel the softness of the meat in your mouth. Wow...
Jurin Express is from the same people behind of Jurin Sushi Bar at Belissa Row, Pulau Tikus. This one is situated at Gurney Plaza’s New Wing. At first, I thought it was a fast food liked restaurant with the word “Express”, but it still a same “look at the menu and take your order” Japanese restaurant. There’s like 4 Japanese restaurants in Gurney Plaza, competiting with each other.
My mom’s friend invited us for a dinner there. It was quiet that night but it seems like it’s quiet all the time because every time I passed by, there’s not many customer in there. Wrong timing, perhaps. =)...
If you ask me to op for a lousy Japanese food in town, well, … this would be the one.
I had a bad experience down here and was thinking not to publish. But come to think of it, probably other people may like this place… anyway, this is very subjective.
It was a late lunch one of the weekends, and we decided to give it a try on Jurin eXpress, since we have not try it before. We’re greeted and were directed to a place that’s where we could see the alfresco area. It was nice indeed…
