Even though slightly isolated, next to Jusco foodcourt (near to car park exit) is a Japanese restaurant called Nippon Yataimura 日本屋合村. Yataimura 合村 means whole village. It is wholly owned by Oh Sushi Two (M) Sdn. Bhd. and should have some outlets in Kuala Lumpur as well. I visited this restaurant in one Tuesday (26/Aug/2008) and surprisingly there are only few customers there. During Friday lunch hour, you may ended up queueing out there.
The ambient is nice as each dining table is surrounded by fake bamboo so that you have more privacy there. There are lanterns installed on the roof as well. The service is slightly poorer as I enter without people entertaining. I sit there waited for few...
This is the first time we dine in at Nippon Yataimura Japanese Restaurant. We have ordered Kani Maki (sushi) as our starter. For main course, we have ordered Gekikara Ramen (Spicy) cost for RM16 and Chicken Teriyaki Set cost for Rm18. Gekikara Ramen (Spicy) is suitable for spicy lovers, as you can choose the level of spicy from 1 to 10. Of course, I just choose level 4 and I already can feel the hot and spicy from my stomach and even my mouth. Wow...really can't imagine how will the soup taste if it's level 10. Let me know if you have tried before...
Although I do get my Mum the best food around town frequently, it was a special day yesterday to bring her out for some live-on-the-spot dinner. After all, it was Mothers? Day and she ought to be treated like a queen. We ended up having Japanese food at Nippon Yataimura which is located in Pulau Tikus, Penang. From the exterior, it looked like a normal restaurant. As we stepped inside, it was totally another world by itself with lanterns hanging everywhere on little roofs just like in a village. Now I got it why they had named the shop as ???????, meaning Japanese House in a Village.
There were just too many choices available in this restaurant with even a specially created 9-course set meal priced at RM48+ just for Mothers? Day but we ended up...
It was another peaceful weekend. Liang with his usual antics of not telling me what he has in mind for lunch, so I had to fall in with whatsoever idea he had. Anyway, I’m no where near to the word WORRY because, I’d got the feeling that it’ll be fun. True enough it turned out elating when we reach the front door of Nippon Yataimura in Queensbay Mall.
The design and seating were contemporary and modern, yet it has the typical Japanese primeval ambiance. Well stacked and arranged were their alcoholic wine you won’t miss once you step into this place. We were shoved with their vibrant menu and quickly we made up our minds to order...
