Peanut Butter !!! There are many varieties of peanut butter. I have been using peanut butter as a spreader since ……can’t even remember when. I loved the Skippy creamy ones although I sometimes have the extra chunky version too. Another favourite of mine is Smucker’s black current and strawberry. They make a tasty spread for bread as well as cream cracker.
Besides making peanut butter toast at home, my hubby and myself like to eat those sold at Eng Loh coffee shop located at Church Street. The bread is known as Taiwan Roti and the thick slice is sold for RM3.50. The main ingredients is margarine, peanut butter and crushed peanuts. The bread is the ordinary fresh white bread which is sliced into very thick pieces. It is toasted with a layer of margarine...
Peanut butter toast This is a very rich toast. It taste GOOD and have a nice aroma but you cannot eat to much as it make you feel hectic after few pieces. Basically they use a big thick bread, toasted and quoted with generous amount of butter and peanut butter and sprinkle some toasted peanut on top of the bread. If you loves Peanut Butter, I am sure you will going to fall in love with this.
This stall Wantan Mee taste very nice. My daughter had this and she loves it very much. I prefer the noodles with the QQ texture. And this stall texture is what I love. LOL
You hardly find chuncky "YAM" inside the "O" kuih nowadays in Penang...
The moment we entered Eng Loh coffee shop, the wantan mee stall and its menu attracted our attention. There are around 10+ items displayed in a big signboard.
This is the menu that attracted us. When I walked near the stalll, the owner keep on promoting the noodle to me. I find it very hard to reject her, so I ordered the all egg wan tan mee.
All Egg Wan Tan Mee. The noodle itself is less curly and thinner if compare to the Thong Kee All Egg Wan Tan Mee. The noodle texture is smooth and crunchy...
One of my all time favourite coffee shop in Georgetown has to be the Eng Loh coffee shop. WhenI was working in town, I use to frequent this coffee shop. It's located at the financial center where all the major banks are located ergo it's just convenient to pop by for lunch on the way to the banks. As for the exact location, Eng Loh is located at the end of Church Street. It's partly a budget hotel as well as a kopitiam (coffee shop) on the ground floor. While it has only a few stalls, all of them are really good. And I mean really good. I get to the juicy part later on.
This kopitiam probably serves one of the best teh peng and kopi peng in town. It definitely score points for presentation as it comes with quite an interesting contrast of colours...
Hubby had this and the bee hoon texture is very nice. Very QQ. I told my gal that it taste very nice after I tried. Then she asked hubby to let her to try some. After she taste it. hahhahaha...... she want more. So hubby went to order lor mee.

So I get the chance to taste some of her breakfast. I love their toast. It still taste very crunchy after 10 minutes. lol
