During one weekend in February. We are thinking what to have for our breakfast in town area? Then we passed through Gurney Drive and hubby suggested that we try Song River Bah Kut Teh.
Well.... from the pictures, you can clearly see that their soup base is quite clear compare to the other bak kut teh. The tastes is a bit milder and you will hardly smell the Chinese herbs aroma. Which is quite good for people who don't like the herbs aroma.
Actually, when I am watching some cooking programme...
Gurney Drive is the food heaven for food lovers. It houses many seafood restaurants, cafes, fine dining restaurants and hawker stalls with some opening for business in the day and also in the night. One of the famous shops along the strip which was established decades ago is Song River Cafe, home to some of the tasty cuisines Penang has to offer!
With a group of visiting friends from Singapore, we dropped in Song River for the famous and unique Bah Kut Teh. Regular customers will know that this restaurant is managed by the same owner of Home Style Restaurant in Tanjung Bungah...
Taro fish meat bihun. I am so attracted by it after I read a post in aftergiovanni. I always keep this in my mind that I MUST try this out. Finally, on one fine Sunday morning I tought of this fishmeat bihun. I can’t exactly remember the location of the place which serve the taro fish meat bihun, the only memory that I have is, it’s located somewhere near Song River or is it Song River?
I really can’t recall the exact location, so… what to do? We just can try our luck, and we picked Song River Restaurant which is located along Gurney Drive.
My bf recommended the osyer noodle and fried egg with bitter gourd...
