German food is hard to come by in Penang Island but lucky for us Penangites, we have the Ingolf’s Kneipe German Restaurant which serves delicious German food. This outlet is housed in the middle of a row of shophouses located opposite Copthorne Orchid Hotel in Tanjung Bungah.

Ingolf's Kneipe is perhaps the one and only German restaurant in Penang. It has been operating since several years ago and today, it is still a favorite spot especially on weekend or holiday seasons. Call for reservation to avoid disappointment. Otherwise, just beat the rest and be there as early as 6 pm for dinner.

Bar counter at ground floor usually attracts huge crowd of alcohol drinkers on the weekends! As they are running out of tables, you can opt to have meals at bar counter as well!

Few months ago I heard from one of my female friends saying that she enjoying eating huge sausage in Tanjung Bungah. Thinking on how huge can a sausage be, I finally paid Ingolf Kneipe , a German restaurant, a visit.

Didn't manage to talk to the restaurant owner. So far, I only see 3 staffs were working to serve customers. One was handling the bar center, another two were walking around to serve customer with foods and drinks. I personally dare not hold them for too long to dig information. This is a German restaurant and bar located at Tanjung Bunga at the Hillside, just a few shops away from the 7-11. It has a great environment and you can see a lot of westerners dining there. It is well known for its big portioned with a reasonable price for the food.
