This Korean BBQ is owned by a Korean and they have been open seven outlets in Malaysia (KL, Selangor and Penang). Their layout is modern + traditional. They even have a private room for customers who have their private function.
I have tried their outlet in Bandar Puteri Puchong. Not bad the food and comfortable seats as you can seat on the floor just like Korean style. The price here is also quite reasonable.
On 27th June 09, I organized a dinner gathering at Daorae since Suki and Lyn were back. If I was not mistaken, this Korean Restaurant was just newly opened in May’09. Since Suki quite favor Korean Food and I have heard Seow Wei said that many good reviews have been written about this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try.
The upper floor of Daorae is purely the Tatami style arrangement. Unfortunately, I did not take any shots to show how the environment looks like.
If you do not like to dine with the tatami style, customers can choose to take a seat on the ground...
It was sister Nancy's birthday last month, and we ladies got an excuse to have a get together to celebrate. And this time we found a place where we have a whole room to ourselves, sitting on the wooden floor, with no chairs to pull in and out, letting our hairs down, having the fun of our lives, forgeting about the world around us, laughing our heads off, and at the same time filling our stomach with as much as we can eat and drink with food of a different kind, that is Korean BBQ. Besides the BBQ of beef and pork we have a lot of other side dishes like bibimbap, korean vegetable pancake, kim chi soup, noodles, and not to be left out the korean rice wine, Chum churum soju to warm up. Sister Nancy recieved a birthday gift of a bottle of special longevity rice...

I thought the Korean craze had already died down but I was wrong. (Cue: Winter Sonata, LG, Samsung….)
A lot of people watch Korean dramas on TV and like K-pop (ummmm, I was introduced to the cute, preppy Wondergirls girl group by my cousin one day). And Korean food is set to soar too.
That’s how we ended up at Daorae, a Korean BBQ restaurant last Saturday night. You cannot miss the signboard – it winks, ok, blinks at you when you are at the Krystal Point roundabout (actually the restaurant is located along Ideal Avenue, near Bukit Jambul). I don’t mind Korean food though my first love is Japanese/sashimi. I love the way they’ve marketed themselves so successfully over the years. A great...
